Virtual Leagues
NCAS Postal League
Michael Ward
I've taken over the running of the Senior NCAS Postal League from Sandra Vives-Lynch. The Junior NCAS Postal League is still being run by Peter Galbraith.
I'll be running it in the same way as in previous years, with rounds in November, December, January, February and March. Scores from Portsmouth rounds to be submitted to me via email at ncas_postal@mw116.plus.com.

Virtual Archery League
David O'Carroll
I organise a postal competition for individuals shooting Portsmouth rounds during the winter months called the Virtual Archery League. It's been running for eight years and many Yorkshire archers take part. There are also archers from Scotland to Jersey and New Zealand of all standards shooting in separate divisions for recurve, compound and longbow.
It only costs £3 and there are medals for each division.
The site can be viewed (with last year's results) at www.virtualarchery.org.uk and entry can be made from the site or by e-mailing val@virtualarchery.org.uk.

How to advertise on this page
There is no charge for advertising on this page and the YAA makes no money from transactions resulting from adverts on this page. There are, however, certain conditions:
- The advertiser must be acting as a private individual, not as a dealer.
- The advertiser must be an archer affiliated to the Yorkshire Archery Association.
- The items advertised must be archery-related. We take a narrow view of what this means - you can't sell your old banger on here just because you once drove to a shoot in it.
- The advertiser must state that he or she has a legal right to offer the advertised items for sale.
To advertise items on this page, please send an email to Tim Mason (yaa@phoenixbowmen.co.uk) stating:
- the club through which you're affiliated to the YAA, or your GNAS number if you're affiliated directly to the YAA;
- the make and model of each item offered for sale, plus relevant information such as length and poundage;
- whether the items form a single package or whether the items are being offered separately;
- the desired price for each item or package;
- your contact details - a phone number and/or an email address. We won't put postal addresses on this page, since certain people may get the notion of obtaining the items without paying!
- the phrase "I hold the legal title to these items" if you're selling on behalf of yourself, or "I am selling with the consent of the person who holds the legal title to these items" if selling on behalf of someone else.
The YAA reserves the right to decline or withdraw any advertisement, without explanation or compensation.
Disclaimer
The YAA provides this Small Ads page as a service to Yorkshire's archers. All adverts are carried in good faith. We have not seen the items being offered for sale and make no representations as to their quality or fitness for purpose. We have made reasonable efforts to verify the identity of the seller, but cannot guarantee that the seller has a legal right to offer the goods for sale. The YAA accepts no responsibility or liability for any harm or loss resulting from advertisements carried on this page.
Advice to sellers
There are many scams related to online trading. We strongly advise sellers:
- do not sell to persons outside the UK;
- do not accept post-dated cheques;
- do not accept payment in instalments;
- do not sell to one party and take payment from a different party;
- never divulge personal information such as bank account details;
- if someone offers more than you're asking for, assume it's a scam;
- make the transaction in person and perform the transaction in cash, preferably at a neutral venue such as a tournament or a club meeting.
Advice to buyers
We strongly advise buyers:
- examine the items before buying;
- make the transaction in person, preferably at a neutral venue such as a tournament or a club meeting.
